Paul Davis Enters Race for Congress in Illinois’ 15th District
For Immediate Release - July 9, 2025:
Veterinarian and Small Business Leader Launches Campaign to Restore Integrity and Practical Solutions to Washington
COLLINSVILLE, IL — Dr. Paul Davis is a veterinarian and business manager running for Congress to bring real-world experience and integrity back to Washington. Born and raised in Illinois, Paul is the son of a retired Air Force colonel and a Glen-Ed food pantry director, and he’s carried their values of service, compassion, and hard work into every aspect of his life.
A proud graduate of Highland High School and the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Paul has spent over three decades caring for animals and building trusted relationships with families across central and southern Illinois. In 2012, he and his wife, Dr. Karin Crocker, founded Davis Pet Hospital in Collinsville, where they live today with their two German Shepherd rescues and a cat.
Paul Davis, announced today that he is running for U.S. Congress in Illinois’ 15th Congressional District. Davis is entering the race to bring a fresh, pragmatic voice to Washington - one focused on service, not soundbites.
“For too long, the current representatives in this district have ignored the real needs of Central Illinois - from protecting rural health care and rebuilding infrastructure to fully funding research grants and supporting family farms,” said Davis. “It’s time for leadership rooted in common sense, accountability, and action.”
A first-time candidate, Davis says he’s motivated by conversations with neighbors and clients who feel forgotten by their elected officials. “I didn’t get into this to build a political career - I got into this because I believe this district deserves better,” he said.
Illinois’ 15th District, a largely rural region stretching across central and southeastern Illinois, is currently represented by Rep. Mary Miller. Davis said the incumbent’s focus on national partisan battles has come at the expense of local needs.
“We need less grandstanding and more bridge-building,” Davis said. “I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work - for farmers, working parents, veterans, and everyone who just wants a fair shot and a fair voice in the issues that matter to them”
He plans to host a series of listening sessions throughout the summer and fall to hear directly from constituents.
